Trebleet Thunderbolt 3/USB4 Dock Station for Mac Mini

Trebleet home page and more information here

I ordered dock 13.3.2023 and delivery takes about 2-3 weeks.

Yesterday (March 22, 2023) the package finally arrived!

Great customer service from Trebleet and even though China is far from
Finland, the delivery was quick.

From Trebleet´s website

Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station for Mac Mini [SILVER], comes with NVMe /
SATA Slot (Up to 2800Mbps), 4X USB 3.1 Ports (10Gbps) , CFexpress / TF /
SD Card Readers. It supports daisy chains (up to 5 units).

3x USB-A (10 Gbps) (5V@3A)
1x USB-C(10 Gbps) (5V@3A)
1x NVMe PCIe Gen 3 x4 Expansion Slot (PCIe 3.0) (Up to 2,800MB/s)
1x 2.5″ SATA Expansion Socket (Up to 500 MB/s)
1x CFexpress Type-B Card Slot
1x UHS-II SD4.0 / TF Card Slot
1x DC 60-watt power jack (12V/5A)
1x Thunderbolt 3 daisy-chain port

The package is a rather rough, OEM-type brown box, with the Trebleet logo
on the top and the most important information on the back. On the other hand,
who is looking at that box, so the product inside is the most important.

The dock itself is really high-quality and attention has also been paid to the underside.
Usually, in similar products, the underside is plastic, as in the last tested Qwiizlab product.

This immediately gives a very high-quality feeling about the product.
The cover is apparently acrylic? and it is protected by a thin plastic film that
must be removed. However, it is very difficult to get it off, but after scratching for a while,
it did come off.

Remove the thin plastic film from the top of the dock before use.

Comparison with Qwiizlab’s dock.

Other contents of the package

USB4 Mac Mini Super Dock
Thunderbolt 3/USB4 40Gbps Cable (0.2 meter)
60W Power supply

On Trebleet’s forum, it was mentioned that you can put a heatsink cooler in the nvme board,
and there was also a suitable model mentioned there.

So I had already ordered be quiet! heatsink that I installed on the Samsung 970 EVO PLUS board.
It fits perfectly and the bottom door also closes. I still haven’t received an answer from Trebleet about whether it is
recommended to keep the door open or closed with this cooler?

M.2 SSD speed test (Samsung EVO PLUS 2TB).

If you look at the list on Trebleet’s forum, SAMSUNG EVO PLUS is not on the supported list. However, it appears to work excellently,
and there are no complaints about the speed either.

Trebleet is still a relatively unknown manufacturer and there is not much information or reviews about their products. I made the purchase decision based on
feedback from users of the MacRumors forum, as well as Trebleet’s great customer service, which convinced me.

So far there is nothing bad to say about the product and I am very satisfied with my purchase and the quality of the product.

If something bad has to be said now, it’s that the device is quite expensive at $299. However, the experience and quality so far supports that high price.

The device gets a full five stars at this point!

5.0 out of 5.0 stars

However, let’s continue testing and I’ll update my thoughts here.

Thanks to Trebleet for a great product!

Please also take a look at my short video on Youtube. Thanks!

  1. Thanks for the review! At the macrumor site there was a user who said the dock needs a windows computer for a software update, which would be a deal breaker for me. Do you have any experience with this? Or is it possible they have fixed such a major flaw?

Hello good afternoon, I am very interested in this item, although the price seems very high, would you recommend this product nowadays? Or, would you recommend better, Thunderbolt 4 hub, although the concept is not the same.
I am undecided in this purchase, for my Mac mini m2.
By the way thanks for your work, in the review of this article.

    1. I am very satisfied and would buy the product again. Although the price is a bit high, I think it is in line with the quality. I can highly recommend this product and I doubt you will not be disappointed!

  3. Thank you very much for your previous posts on this interesting product. It has been a year since your last post. Would you still recommend this product? Have you had any problems?
I have a Quiizlab hub at the moment but it is quiet slow as I’m sure you are aware. Any updated info would be appreciated.

    1. I’m concerned about the heat generated by the NVMe’s but it sounds like that isn’t a problem if you have had no interruptions in the previous year. I find it curious so little information about this unit is available considering how many YouTube videos on other Mac mini hubs have been made. Perhaps it is just the cost.

      Thank you.
